Permanent Dental Implants

A dental implant is a common solution to replace your missing or extracted teeth. At our award-winning dental practice, Randol Woolbright, DDS PSC will give you and your oral health the attention and care you deserve while helping restore your smile. Mini dental implants are also an option for smaller or trickier areas that need to be replaced.

High-Tech Scanner Technology

Dr. Woolbright always stays ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest dental technology. This includes Galileo's CT scanner, which produces a 3-D image of your mouth. Using this, we can more accurately tell if a bone graft or sinus lift is necessary to complete an implant procedure. This scanning technology provides higher quality information than older 2-D options.

Some FAQs About Implants

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are titanium cylinders which are permanently placed in your jaw bone. These implants permanently and successfully provide support for your replaced teeth.

Why should you consider dental implants?
Implants are an affordable and permanent option to replace missing teeth. Unlike dentures, once they are in, you don't even have to think about them. Thanks to the ease and affordability of implants, there is no reason for you to live with missing teeth or loose dentures.

What are some of the benefits?
Dental implants look and feel like your natural teeth. They also improve the overall appearance of your mouth and smile. With implants, you are not restricted to only eating certain foods. Dental implants also reduce the bone atrophy and shrinkage commonly caused by lost teeth.

Who performs the dental implant procedure?
A periodontist, oral surgeon, or implantologist are all qualified to place dental implants. A restorative dentist then completes the crowns once the implants are done.

Is this surgery painful?
No, as local anesthetic is used during the procedure to eliminate any pain. After surgery, you may feel sore for a day or so, but any pain and discomfort is minimal.
